Frequently Asked Questions

Am I committed to a certain amount of sessions?

No, we will have an initial consultation to see if we are happy to work together, after that we book a session for the following week. You will not be asked to sign up for a minimum number of sessions, we will work week by week. I just ask that if you are unable to make a session which we have booked, that you give me 24 hours notice, otherwise you will be charged the session fee.

How often would I have sessions?

I believe that therapy is most productive with shorter gaps between sessions. The structure of regular weekly appointments, generally at the same time, on the same day lends itself to the process. We can have a tendency to use protective mechanisms in the outside world, and the frequency of sessions allows for safety to build quicker, and more space to do the work.

How much does a session cost?

I offer a free 30 minute initial meeting, to see if we are happy to work together. After that the sessions cost £70 per 50 minute session.

What can therapy offer that other things can't?

Therapy can be used to compliment other treatments, and offers a safe and confidential environment for you to explore issues of concern without fear of being judged or feeling embarrassed. It is an opportunity for an individual to explore why they feel the way they do, and discuss how to manage issues in a way that suits them.

Where does the session take place?

I see clients at the Market Hill Therapy Room, in central Buckingham, with a discrete entrance. The therapy room is a lovely environment with a calming feel. Please see a photo of the room on the contact page.
